Nuvi Kidz ("we," "us," "our") operates nuvikidz.com (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why, how we use it, and the choices you have. It's written to comply with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act") and applicable Indian law.

1. What we collect

• Account & order data: name, email address, phone number, shipping and billing address, order history.
• Payment data: we do not store your full card, UPI, or net-banking details — these are processed directly by our payment gateway partner(s), who are independently responsible for securing that data.
• Usage data: pages visited, device/browser type, approximate location (from IP), and similar data collected automatically via cookies and analytics tools (see our Cookies Policy).
• Communications: messages you send us via email, contact forms, or customer support channels.

2. Why we collect it (purpose of processing)

We process your personal data to:

• Fulfil and deliver your orders, including sharing your name, address, and phone number with our courier/logistics partners.
• Process payments and refunds through our payment gateway partner(s).
• Send order confirmations, shipping updates, and respond to customer service requests.
• With your consent, send you marketing communications about new arrivals, offers, and promotions — you can opt out at any time.
• Improve the Site, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations (tax, accounting, and consumer protection record-keeping).

3. Consent

Where we rely on your consent (for example, for marketing emails or non-essential cookies), you may withdraw it at any time by emailing contact@nuvikidz.com or using the unsubscribe link in our emails. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal, and will not affect data we're required to keep for legal or order-fulfilment purposes.

4. Who we share data with

We share personal data only where necessary, with:

• Delivery/courier partners, to ship your order.
• Payment gateway providers, to process payments and refunds.
• IT service providers (hosting, analytics, customer support tools) who process data on our behalf, under contractual confidentiality obligations.
• Brand partners, where an order includes products from another brand we sell on the Site, limited to the information needed to fulfil that item (e.g. for warranty registration, if applicable).
• Law enforcement or regulators, where required by Indian law.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

5. Your rights

Under the DPDP Act, you have the right to:

• Access a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how it's processed.
• Request correction or completion of inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Request erasure of your data, unless we're required to retain it (e.g. for tax or dispute-resolution purposes).
• Withdraw consent for processing based on consent.
• Nominate another individual to exercise these rights on your behalf, in the event of your death or incapacity.
• Register a complaint with us first, and if unresolved, with the Data Protection Board of India.

To exercise any of these rights, email contact@nuvikidz.com with the subject line "Data Request." We will respond within a reasonable time and in line with statutory timelines as they come into force.

6. Data retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described above, or as required by applicable law (for example, tax and accounting records).

7. Data security

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards (such as encrypted checkout via our payment gateway partner and access controls on customer data) to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. No online system is 100% secure, and we encourage you to also take care to protect your own account credentials.

8. Children's data

Nuvi Kidz sells children's products, but our Site and accounts are intended for use by parents, guardians, and adult shoppers. We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal data without appropriate consent, contact us and we will delete it.
